PhD Progress

The official duration of phD in France is 36 months. It is open to students holding a master degree in physisc, chemistry, material sciences, and equivalent. The progress of the competence acquisition follows ideally the following progression

PhD enrolment

1st year:

Learning : project, bibliography, experiment, protocoles, methods, training
Gaining autonomia

2nd year:
Making: experiment, results, dissemination, careerdevelopment, training
Proposing experiment to answer questions

3rd year:
Synthesizing: consolidation of results, interpretation, manuscript writting, dissemination, career development
Reaching expert level
